OER- Open Educational Resources

This guide provides an overview of OER, publication options, and where to locate OER.

OERTX

OER NURSING ESSENTIALS  is a collaboration between the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and OpenStax at Rice University.

OERTX is a digital repository of OER for Texas students and academic institutions.  Created to support 60X30TX, the state of Texas higher education strategic plan, and HB 3652, OERTX provides a secure landing space for all things OER in Texas.  OERTX is funded by the state of Texas and is a partnership between the Coordinating Board and the Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME). The purpose of OERTX is to help with the creation and adaptation of open resources in the support of education across the state.  The organization provides training on OER creation and adoption, acts as a repository of free and open resources, and creates a link to Open Author (an open-source publication software).

DIGITEX facilitates the creation, adoption, and use of Open Educational Resources across Texas through such services as research, professional development and training, and events such as the annual Open Texas Conference.
