When trying to do that, reflect on your passions and think about global issues that you are motivated to solve.
Your research interests can range from topics like health disparities in underserved communities, environmental health, healthcare accessibility in rural areas, cancer immunotherapy, or the genetic risk factors for certain illnesses. It all comes down to what excites you!
Once you know what your research interests are, you have done most of the work!
P.S. Don't feel inclined to have research interests that perfectly align with your major or area of study. It's totally okay to explore topics outside your career field if something else seems to spark your curiosity!
For example, even if you’re a physical therapy student, you might be drawn to public health policy research.
