What are point-of-care tools?
Point-of-care resources are tools, usually in the form of mobile applications or mobile-friendly websites, that allow healthcare providers to provide a reliable diagnosis or therapy quickly at the patient's point of care.
These tools:
- include the best and most recent evidence-based research
- provide summaries, linking out to relevant articles and guidelines
- should be graded or measured for quality and updated regularly
- are easy to search

Known for its comprehensive content and robust data synthesis with millions of data points, GIDEON® is updated daily by a global team of medical scientists. Antibiotic resource with up-to-date, reliable, scientifically supported information about treating infectious infections. VisualDx (with DermExpert) is a clinical decision support tool that helps identify and diagnose diseases, especially dermatologic conditions, through image-based references and guided differentials. The included DermExpert feature uses AI to analyze uploaded skin photos and suggest possible diagnoses, supporting faster, more accurate clinical decisions. Access is available via desktop or mobile with institutional login.
