Scientific Writing & Styles

APA Style Manual

The American Psychological Association is responsible for publishing and maintaining the APA style manual. First published in a seven-page article in the Psychological Bulletin in 1929, this writing style is widely used across many professions and in academic settings (APA, 2021).

Reviewing the following sources to improve APA application is highly recommended.

  • APA Style Basic - asynchronous online class [coming soon!]
  • APA Style - official APA style website

The following book link also links to the catalog record for a physical copy of the manual available at Lewis Library.
