HSC Fort Worth Data Repository

HSC Fort Worth Data Repository Policies

  • The HSC Fort Worth Data Repository accepts deposit of research data from HSC faculty, staff and students.

  • The data repository has a limit of 4GB per file uploaded in a dataset. If you would like to upload a file larger than 4GB, please contact DataRepository@unthsc.edu

  • Datasets can be submitted by any HSC-affiliated researcher with an EUID and password, but final publication of datasets is subject to review by HSC Fort Worth Data Repository Administration.

  • Repository administration can create sub-collections that contain multiple datasets from a single researcher or project. To request a sub-collection for you or your project, please contact DataRepository@unthsc.edu

  • The repository accepts most types of data, including tabular files, geospatial files, textual files, digital images, digital audio and digital video. Other data types are also welcome.

  • Open, nonproprietary formats are encouraged for long term archiving. View a list of open formats from Boston College Libraries.

  • Related scholarly materials (e.g., a journal article) can be submitted to UNTHSC Scholar and linked to your Dataset. If you are interested in contributing material to the repository, please contact scholar@unthsc.edu.

  • Depositors may only submit original work to which they hold the copyright or have permission to deposit and which to the best of their knowledge will not infringe upon anyone’s intellectual property rights.

  • Deposits must not include personally identifiable information (PII) or confidential information, as defined in the Texas Data Repository Terms of Use. Human research data may only be included if data are deidentified and the IRB has approved the sharing of the data on the repository. Researchers should consult with the North Texas Regional Institutional Review Board prior to submitting the data if it wasn’t explicitly approved in their IRB application.
